Naste Lake

Grab your Shaboomee SUP and head to beautiful Naste Lake!

This small reservoir is a great location to SUP past Ruedi up the Frying Pan Road out of Basalt Colorado! I have never been here but my customers and friends love it! On customer up there stand up paddle boarding with his daughter saw a moose swimming in the lake!

Nast Lake is located in the White River National Forest east of Basalt, Colorado. The small lake is popular for water activities such as floating and paddle boarding and makes a great setting for a picnic.

To get to the trailhead from Basalt drive east on the Fryingpan Road for 32 miles and turn right at the sign for Nast Lake.

The road is paved all the way to the turnoff. From there it is a dirt road and I recommend high clearance.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE WEATHER. GENERALLY IT APPEARS IN THE AFTERNOONS.
