Changes to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife rulebook are going to have major implications for Beaver Lake in Marble and some of the recreational activities that historically have been a staple of the area.

In fact, entry to the State Wildlife Area at all without a valid hunting or fishing license or Colorado SWA pass will be deemed as unlicensed occupation and illegal, according to the letter. Entry restrictions apply to all persons at least 16 years of age.

CPW patrollers will ticket users who aren’t actively fishing and have a current fishing license as their usage is illegal.
